Writing beautifully is inexpensive, simple to master and has a huge impact on people who see it!

My classmates and I first learned this at the age of seven in calligraphy classes after school ... and I've kept on learning ever since.

Home-made birthday cards, wedding invitations, scrapbook pages, handwritten love-letters, posters, workplace notices … if it’s in writing, it looks better in beautiful handwriting.

But 'beautiful handwriting' doesn't have to be difficult. Or perfect!

I'm a bit older than seven now :-D and have collected quite a few calligraphic tips and techniques over the years. The best place to organise my gothic lettering and 'italic calligraphy alphabet' tutorials etc seems to be online. I can always find them easily (!) and everyone else can use them too.

So, if you love lettering, or if you’d simply like to explore some of the less-visited Old English alphabets, border designs and fancy letters ...

... while trying out ornamental techniques using Celtic pattern, creative lettering or medieval methods from illuminated manuscripts ...

... occasionally impressing the people around you with home-made greeting cards and invitations ...

It’s a brand-new project for me. (The ‘beautiful writing’ of a webpage requires a whole new set of skills from the ones I’m used to!) Please have patience while I develop the site, and I hope you’ll forgive any short delays.
